Grampa McInnis

Vincent, Vinny, Stuffy, Dear, Dad, Popcorn and Grampa. No matter what name you knew him by, we will all miss this man. And while we all mourn his loss, we are overjoyed that he is now free from the pain and discomfort in spent in his last years. Sometimes aging can be a terrible thing. It's hard for the individual,it's hard for the family to see their loved one in a diminished capacity. It's just hard. I know my Grandfather is in a far better place. The memory that I cherish the most is perhaps my earliest of him. I am sitting on his lap and I ask about his yellow tooth( and old football injury is what he tells me) for the 100th time. He then tickles me and calls me "a character" and I look up at my Grampa like he said the most hilarious thing and say, " Oh, Grampa I AM NOT A CARROT!" . Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the funeral in Maine but all my thoughts and prayers will be with my family who is currently gathering there. Just know that somewhere someone will be playing "Danny Boy" just for that man of many names.

It is a blessing to know that we will enjoy these same associations again someday.

POoL dAyS

Pool days are finally here! I think summer has taken it's sweet time this year! With days like these it has almost been worth the wait. We are having a wonderful time swimming in the Jackson pool with our cousins( miss you Andrew and Alexa!).

Mommy and Marinn relaxing. Ummm..I'd like some props for posting a pic of myself in a bathing suit! Marinn just looked too adorable not to post this. I also think there is a pic of me and my mom like this somewhere.
Jordyn motoring around in her boat!

Leslie and Colby..notice Leslie's cute hair!

Julie and baby Taylor taking a lunch break

Camden taking a little break...he has turned into a GREAT swimmer!

Jack and Brady taking a break from being the little guppies that they are and making a classic funny face. Why can't you guys just smile? And maybe the best part about pool days returning...how sleepy kids can get after swimming:)

Strawberry Days

I have a special little place in my heart for Strawberry Days. Seven years ago Kim and I went on our first date to the rodeo( a totally NEW experience for the both of us). Sadly, Kim was working a Basketball camp so we couldn't re-create that magic moment. But Luke and Leslie graciously allowed us to tag along with them for the day for some more kid friendly activities! Despite the drizzly weather we had a great time and Brady is still talking about it. These pictures are totally out of order...sorry!
Marinn and Colbly both enjoyed the parade so much that they fell asleep. The big boys enjoyed the carnival rides. Camden went on the giant ferris wheel all by himself!

Just for Mimi

I guess I've been kind of waiting. Waiting for things to happen. To report some big change like I dunno.... A JOB maybe?! Or at the very least some enjoyable weather. My mom convinced me that the world hasn't stopped and that her grand kids continue to get bigger each day. So Mimi, this one is for you .Here is the latest pictures of the kiddos .And yes, they are out of order I just can't figure out how to fix it!

Adoring big brother...just don't squeeze too hard!

Bumbo Fun

Marinn has become our little centerpiece during dinner. We just stick her in the Bumbo and voila: instant entertainment. I have to say it again these Bumbo's are genius and dinner has never been this much fun.
